Austrian sound engineer Eric Spitzer has been set to hold workshops at the 2018 Cinema Verite, Iran’s major documentary film festival.
The workshops have been scheduled for December 11 and 12.
On the first day, 'The White Diamond' documentary project which is a Spitzer's collaboration with German director Werner Herzog, will be screened. It is planned to be followed by the sound engineer's explaining the details on the sound editing of the film.
On the second day, some more details on the art considering the cultural background will be presented.
Spitzer has been active in the business since 1992 as composer of a TV movie. He has also tried his hand in acting by appearing in a movie by Virgil Widrich.
Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, the first edition of the Cinema Verite was held in 2007.
Over the past decade it has emerged as one of the important events on Iran's documentary film calendar.
The 12th edition of the Cinema Verite is slated for December 9-16, 2018.
